The Samaritan Center for Medical Research (SCMR) is located in Los Gatos, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. SCMR was established for the sole purpose of conducting all phases of clinical trials. The Center was established in 2003 by founder and principal investigator, Maia U. Chakerian, M.D. Over the past 12 years, Dr. Chakerian has directed and participated in numerous clinical trials, both as a faculty member of the Pain Center at the University of California San Diego Medical Center, and for the past 10 years as a private practitioner specializing in pain medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area.
